An aeronautical engineer, he served for more than 30 years in the Royal Australian Air Force. After an initial period as a helicopter pilot, he rose steadily through logistics and supply roles, reaching the posts of Director of Capital Projects at Logistics Command, Director of Integrated Logistics Requirements at Air Force HQ and commander of the logistics wing responsible for supporting the transport fleets. For several years he served as chief scientist of TFD — Tools for Decision Group (California, USA), where he was responsible for formulating all the algorithmic strategies behind TFD's models, notably the new generation of multi-resource optimization tools that already influence the execution of performance-based logistics contracts. A specialist dedicated to developing and refining latest-generation analytical tools (AI/ML) applied to the optimization of technical materials inventories, integrated logistics, reliability engineering and risk analysis.

B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto and Marine Engineer from the Royal Navy Engineering College, United Kingdom. He began his career as an engineer in the Canadian Navy and then as an equipment engineer at Exxon Chemicals. He worked for several years as a senior consultant at major consultancies — Coopers & Lybrand, IBM Business Consulting Services and PricewaterhouseCoopers — working in physical asset management: strategy, process improvement and client advisory. Specialist in RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance). Author of several books on reliability engineering, RCM and World Class Maintenance.

Degree in Operational Engineering with further study in Business Administration. A logistics and supply professional with 25 years in the chemical, petrochemical, metallurgical, printing and automotive industries — Braskem, Estireno do Nordeste, Paranapanema and Ford Motor Company. At these companies he took part in structuring the quality and supply areas, covering inbound logistics, warehouses, purchasing, production planning, material cataloguing and inventory management. He also managed contracted logistics providers and teams of logistics and purchasing professionals. Certified Black Belt (Six Sigma). Instructor for training courses and lectures on logistics and supply topics.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Marketing, with specialisation courses in business management, supply, logistics and markets. More than thirty years of experience in supply and logistics in the chemical, petrochemical, gas and metallurgical industries, in various management positions. Experience in developing corporate systems and in implementing and using ERPs (Totvs, Oracle and SAP). He served as Technical Director of ABAM — the Brazilian Association of Materials Management. Lecturer on undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Administration, Logistics and Marketing at Universidade Católica do Salvador and Faculdade Unime.

Degree in Computer Science from Universidade Católica do Salvador and a master's in Applied Computing from Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana. Mid-level systems analyst with experience in web application development technologies. Experience developing frameworks in .NET and Java EE; systems analysis and service using object-oriented modelling (UML) and design patterns (Design Patterns); analysis and deployment of highly scalable systems on the .NET platform; and development of software infrastructure for services requiring high scalability, using MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and DB2 databases.
